A $2 million pot bonus has been handed out to the winner of the PokerStars poker tournament in Queensland, with the cash going to the winning player.
The tournament had been scheduled to start at 10am this morning but has now been postponed until at least 8pm.
The poker tournament, which was being held at the Suncorp Hotel in Brisbane, saw the biggest field of players in history.
More than 5,000 players entered the tournament.
The pot bonus was awarded to Jacky Stannard, who won $2.8 million in the final.
The prize money was distributed between the top players in the world, with a $1 million pot for the top three and a $500,000 cash prize for the runner-up.
Players who have already qualified to win their prize money will get their prize when they qualify for the main draw.
PokerStars announced the prize money payout.

“In addition to the $2m pot, the tournament has a $5,000 bonus for each of the three winners, with three more cash prizes awarded for the best-of-three.
Pokerstars will give away a $10,000 free prize for each player who wins.
